Rockabilly + Rhythm and Blues = Rock & Roll. Elvis was the perfect storm: a synthesis of both these styles. I've featured the most influential rockabilly performers; primarily young country artists who wanted to rock up the music and were certainly inspired by Elvis.

I usually feature original U.S. releases in these galleries. However, there are some cool albums of previously unreleased (on LP) recordings by Bear Family from Germany shown below. Also some recent Norton and Sundazed albums of previously unreleased stuff are included. These are the classic performers but I also appreciate the "torch carriers" like the Stray Cats and Deke Dickerson, among others.
