Eric Christensen recently made a documentary about the mysterious life of Korla Pandit. Like Yma Sumac, who pretended
to be a Peruvian queen, Korla was not actually from India. He was an excellent musician who played spellbinding music
that entranced his mostly female admirers. His early albums were on the Vita label, and then on his own India label.
Soon Fantasy Records signed him and released 14 more albums.
