#131. 2120 South Michigan Avenue
2120 South Michigan Avenue was the location of Chess Records in Chicago. The Rolling Stones used that address as the title for an instrumental on their "12 X 5" album. The tune featured a distinctive riff which was used for many other tunes and everyone who used it gave themselves the writer's credit! We don't know who "invented" the riff and used it first, but they're all from 1964-'66. Side note: A couple of guys from the Frantics went on to start "Moby Grape". Give a listen. Thanks to Ken Kubala for finding some of these.
